Therapy Center, Midtown NY
The program for the space involved a complex group of users and functions: group therapy, individual therapy, private offices, open work areas and spaces for informal socializing and exchange. The center accommodates several groups meeting at different but sometimes coincident moments. Sound insulation and privacy of therapy rooms was of great importance, as was allowing natural light to penetrate deep into the interior of the space. The design solution involved large double-glazed partitions, acoustically insulated and etched for visual privacy.
