Madison Avenue New York, Interior Renovation

The goals of the design for the renovation were to create open, flowing spaces that connect distinct areas of the apartment through long views, to create a spatial narrative in the use of simple material elements (wood, stone, steel and glass) and to create a profound presence for the various pieces of the art collection. Nature, and its abstraction, became a theme and motivator in the design process: the design was often thought of more in terms of landscape design rather than interior design.
